The Moldy Truth

I woke up early Monday morning with a horrendous stomach ache. It hurt so bad that it made me vomit.
I guess I should post a warning now that this post might be a bit graphic.
So I dry heaved for a while and finally this black stuff came out of me. As bad as I felt I was interested enough to take a closer look. What was floating in the toilet looked like what could be chunks of food with black mold growing on it.
According to an academic website pertaining to exposure to environmental hazards when mold is accidentally ingested it can cause irritation to the digestive system resulting in nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and dehydration. All of which I was experiencing.
Although I don't remember ingesting mold, I did recently throw away half a loaf of bread because it was moldy. I guess it's possible that I could have eaten some moldy bread without knowing it.
Inhalation of mold is also very dangerous. For tips on how to eliminate mold in your house click HERE.

For those of you who live in a mobile home, this is a big deal. They are so air-tight (especially when new) that they always have tons of mold. It's hard to stop once it gets started. And, it can really exacerbate any other respiratory problems. Yep. Again -- that's me.
